PORTOLA HOTEL & SPA scores readers’ award
Condé Nast Traveller announced the results of its 32nd annual Readers’ Choice Awards with Portola Hotel & Spa recognized as the #14 Best Hotel in Northern California. Out of hundreds of qualified properties, the Portola Hotel & Spa secures it spot among the Top Twenty-Five Hotels in the region.
Over half a million Condé Nast Traveller readers submitted a record-breaking number of responses rating their travel experiences to provide a full snapshot of where and how we travel today.
A celebration of the best travel in the world, this award win comes after substantial and ongoing upgrades to the scenic Monterey hotel. Portola Hotel & Spa has recently undergone a multimillion dollar renovation including the addition of Jacks Terrace, an all-new outdoor event space and petfriendly patio complete with firepits, cozy seating and “living walls.” In addition, the hotel is preparing for further renovation starting in November, revitalizing its guest rooms and public meeting space interiors. The hotel offers over 60,000 square feet of flexible meeting space with the adjacent $60 million dollar renovated Monterey Conference Centre and an additional 60,000 square feet of outdoor meeting space, all combining to make Portola Hotel & Spa one of Northern California’s most welcoming gathering places.
|The Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel.”
The results of the 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards are published exclusively on Condé Nast Traveller’s website at www.cntraveler.com/rca and celebrated in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveller US and UK print editions, on newsstands worldwide October 10.
