Britweek 2019 Car Rally
Nigel Lythgoe of Britweek and Paul Crewes of Wallis Annenberg Centre for the Performing Arts will be hosting a luxury car rally on Sunday, April 28 in Beverly Hills.
The rally will be sponsored by O’Gara Coach Beverly Hills, an award winning factory-authorized dealer for Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, McLaren, Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Rolls-Royce serving the Southern California area. The display of cars will include vehicles such as Aston Martin’s Vantage, Bentley: Bentayga, Mulsanne, Flying Spur and GT/GTC. McLaren will have the brand new model of the Spider on display. Rolls Royce will showcase the Dawn, the Wraith, the Cullinan and the Phantom.
The car rally route will begin at North Crescent Dr. at 10:00 AM on Sunday, April 28 in Beverly Hills. The route will run from North Santa Monica Blvd., onto North Beverly Dr. to Wilshire Blvd., making a right to Rodeo Dr., leading down until Sunset Blvd., carrying down until Foothill Rd., back to Santa Monica Blvd. where there will be another lap onto North Rexford Dr., and ending on South Santa Monica Blvd. The Beverly Hills Police Department will kick off the event at 9:30 AM while the cars begin lining up.
The rally will continue from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, when the cars being lined up on Crescent for the public to view the vehicles until 2:00 PM. There is no charge to watch the car rally or view the parked cars for the public. Beginning at 2:00 PM, the Wallis Annenberg will be showing the iconic Michael Caine movie, “The Italian Job.” Entry is free and the audience will be asked for at least a $5.00 donation towards The Miracle Project, a fully inclusive theatre, film, and expressive arts program for children, teens, and adults with autism and disabilities.
The Miracle Project, founded by Elaine Hall, focuses on the strengths and abilities inherent in its participants, providing tools to build communication, social skills, job skills, and friendships. The individuals with autism and other disabilities can find their voice and develop their talents. The Miracle Project staff offers trainings, professional development workshops and summer camps nationally and internationally and in New Jersey, New England, San Francisco, Hong Kong, China and at universities including Brown University and Cal Arts.
