2019 Formula One Australian Grand Prix
The opening round of the 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship is set to be held at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit in Melbourne on Sunday, 17 March 2019.
The FORMULA 1 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2019 event dates are 14 – 17 March 2019, which are set to be formally ratified by the FIA at their forthcoming World Motor Sport Council meeting later this year.
The date is a week earlier than in recent years and sets up a stellar run of events in the world’s most liveable city with the Moomba Festival, Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix 2019 and the AFL season opener likely to run on three consecutive weekends, along with the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival and the Melbourne Fashion Festival also held in March.
Minister for Tourism and Major Events, The Hon. John Eren, said the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix brings thousands of visitors to Australia’s sporting capital each year, and a buzz that has become part of Melbourne’s makeup. “The Grand Prix has become a pillar of Victoria’s world-class events and sports calendar and we’re proud to again be hosting the season opener in 2019,” Eren said.

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) has announced a new era of Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix hospitality with the appointment of three catering partners, Atlantic Group, food&desire and GEMA Group.
Building on the premium experiences delivered at the event over the past 23 years, Atlantic Group, food&desire and GEMA Group will take food and entertainment to the next level at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix 2019, from 14-17 March.

To mark the start of the 2019 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, Formula 1 has announced that Melbourne will play host to the inaugural season launch event on Wednesday 13th March, ahead of the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019.
Taking place in the pulsating heart of the city, fans will have the opportunity to see all 20 drivers and 10 team principals descend on Federation Square, all together to open the season for the first time in the sport’s history.
The free public event, organised in partnership with AGPC (Australian Grand Prix Corporation), has been especially created for fans to engage with teams and drivers as they participate in a live stage show, bringing the heroes of Formula 1 to the fans.
Fans are invited to watch the teams and drivers arrive and walk through the iconic square, recreating the famous Melbourne Walk, which is one of the symbols of the race at the Albert Park circuit.
The event will also be supported by an exciting entertainment line-up featuring some of the sport’s legends and an array of music acts, adding to the vibrant atmosphere ahead of the race weekend.
The event will also be streamed across Formula 1’s social platforms to ensure fans across the world don’t miss out on the action. Global partners Rolex, Emirates, Heineken, DHL and Pirelli will also be supporting the launch, hosting a variety of activities for fans to take part in.

The Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 will feature an epic music line-up featuring international and local artists adding to the vibrant atmosphere at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit, from 14-17 March.
RnB Friday presented by FOX FM will return for a third consecutive year, featuring American-Jamaican artist Sean Kingston, who will perform his chart-topping hits including ‘Beautiful Girls’ and ‘Amore e Capoeira’. American rapper, producer and performer, Kid Ink will round out the RnB Friday line-up performing fan favourites ‘Show Me’ and ‘Promise’. Before Sean Kingston and Kid Ink, the crowd will get highly energised by leading Australian DJ’s Horizon and Rojdar.

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is delighted to announce the return of M-Lane in 2019, combining festival vibes with all that is truly Melbourne – food trucks, live music and street art, creating the ultimate off-track entertainment experience at this year’s Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix.
From 14 – 17 March, Melbourne’s food and art scene will make its way to Albert Park where fans can chill-out lakeside at the ‘Water’s Edge’, an all-new upbeat pop-up bar located in M-Lane, featuring live DJ sets throughout the four-day event.

Together with Formula 1, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation is excited to announce the massive entertainment line-up for the highly-anticipated inaugural Formula 1 Season Launch event, held at Federation Square on Wednesday, 13 March 2019.
Free to the public, the Formula 1 Season Launch event will headline Federation Square’s week-long celebration with a packed entertainment line-up featuring home-grown Australian and international acts, as well as special appearances from the superstars of Formula 1, adding to the vibrant atmosphere ahead of the FORMULA 1 ROLEX AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2019.
DJ and producer, Young Franco, who hails from Brisbane, will headline the line-up, performing his recent hits ‘Drop Your Love’ and ‘Miss You’ which have clocked 18 million streams online.
Young Franco will be supported on the day by Melbourne-based party-starter, DJ Mimi Velevska, as well as Justin Bieber’s official touring DJ, Tay James, who will hit the decks and perform a set of party tracks and mash-ups, keeping the tunes going well into the evening.
