Launch of the VRC’s Autumn Carnival
The Victoria Racing Club’s (VRC) autumn celebrations kicked off with a preview of all the finest food, wine, entertainment and racing Melburnians can expect over the next three huge weekends at Flemington in March.
Headquarters plays host to three magnificent race days in a row starting this Saturday with Australian Guineas Day presented by 3AW, followed by Super Saturday on 9 March and the inaugural The All-Star Mile Race Day on 16 March.
An Enchanted Forest activation for the young and young-at-heart popped up in the Mounting Yard, offering a taste of what families can enjoy at Australian Guineas Day including unicorn rides, fairy scavenger hunts and mystical stage shows.
A delicious menu curated by Super Garden Party restaurants Pontoon, Cheek, Atlas Dining and Millstone patisserie showcased the Super Saturday offering as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
Trainers Simon Zahra and Sarah Zschoke detailed the incredible month of Group 1 racing including the $1 million Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) on Saturday, the time-honoured $1.5 million Group 1 TAB Australian Cup (2000m) and the $1.25 million Group 1 Seppelt Newmarket Handicap on Saturday 9th and the brand new$5 million All-Star Mile on Saturday 16th.
VIP guests including VRC autumn ambassador Brooke Hogan, Victoria’s Secret model and Super Saturday special guest Alannah Walton, VRC Chairman Amanda Elliott and All-Star Mile ambassador Olivia Molly Rogers were also in attendance.
