2019 Virgin Australia Fashion Festival
The Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival 2019 is returning in March 2019 with the biggest program of Australian and global designer shows. Good news for those wanting to take in the premium designs up close – the full line up and dates have just been announced.
VAMFF 2019 will run from March 1 – 10. Bringing focus to the theme Power To The Dreamers; encouraging people in 2019 to do extraordinary things, pave their own paths and empower others through fashion.
Following on from this year’s hugely popular show by Ginger & Smart, 2019’s Grand Showcase designer has been confirmed as Carla Zampatti, who promises to present over 80 looks with a performance from Australian singer-songwriter, Dami Im.
Now in it’s 23rd year, the 10-day fashion festival will feature showings from veterans such as Akira, Camilla and Marc, Scanlan Theodore and Martin Grant. In conjunction with new faces A.BCH, Sister, Double RAinbouu, LIMB The Label and Leo & Lin.
marie claire Australia will continue to champion women with the International Women’s Day Breakfast, which will prelude the inaugural Australian Fashion Summit. The carefully curated panel of “Change Making Women” will discuss how they have each affected significant, meaningful and lasting change through the platform of fashion.
Hosted by marie claire Australia editor Nicky Briger, the panel will include award-winning actress and producer Miranda Tapsell as well as Founder & Designer of Australian fashion label Camilla, Camilla Franks to discuss their professional and personal endeavours for change, with more speakers to be confirmed.
