Single Release: Mel Parsons – I Got The Lonely
After being added to rotation on ABC Country this week, Kiwi singer and songwriter Mel Parsons officially releases her brand new clip for ‘I Got The Lonely‘. Giving fans a taste of what’s to come on her new full-length album, which is out later this year, Parsons revealed the lead single last month in a series of live performances on New Zealand radio, including Radio Hauraki and RNZ all-while featuring on the ‘Chilled Roots’ Spotify playlist.
Produced and directed by Tim McInnes at Ruffell Productions and filmed on a skate ramp in the basement of a ski factory in Lyttleton, New Zealand, the video for ‘I Got The Lonely’ is completely void of bells and whistles. Rather, it sees Parsons simply performing at the centre of her band; bathed in a warm glowing light. It captures Parsons’ honest and authentic approach to making music, which stands her out as one of New Zealand’s most loved indie-folk artists.
