Australia’s Newest New Years Day Event has been announced for the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne.
The First NYD will feature: Action Bronson, M.I.A, The Presets, Bloody Mary, Bob Moses, KiNK (live), Krystal Klear, Max Cooper, Nastia, SG Lewis + more to be announced.
Presale tickets available 12pm Wednesday 12th September.
General public tickets available 12pm Thursday 13th September.
Presented by Hardware Group and Piknic Electronik ‘The First’ is a fresh approach to New Years Day in one of Melbourne’s most iconic outdoor venues – The Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Centrally located minutes from the CBD amongst the King’s Domain Parklands and Royal Botanical Gardens, the venue has a history of memorable events and as the birthplace of Melbourne NYD festivals. A multi -stage experience, this fresh approach aims to deliver multiple stages with a focus on live electronic, hip hop, house and techno.
The First NYD will land as the first major New Years Day festival on the Australian calendar and deliver some of the biggest music superstars that have dominated music, radio and streaming charts across the globe.
Curated by the directors that brought the globally renowned ‘Piknic Electronik’ to Australian shores, the season long event will host its own arena alongside other stages; reining in the New Year as the ‘Piknic Electronic Stage’ offering patrons the chance to delve in a pristine sound experience.
Long gone are the days when festivals focused on one genre of music. The First NYD is a smorgasbord of electronic music’s many types of talent.
