Essie Holt unveils stunning new video for ‘Magnetise’
After releasing her critically praised new single ‘Magnetise’, Essie Holt reveals tour dates supporting GLADES and the accompanying music video.
Shot and directed by Josh Harris (Welcome the Machine) in the Melbourne suburb of South Yarra, the clip sees the artist stuck in a freeway traffic jam. As the chorus moves in, Essie falls into a dream like state, where past relationships come back to haunt her.
Essie describes the motivation and production process behind the clip: “I worked really closely with director Josh Harris to come up with a concept that showcased how past relationships can sometimes weave their way back in to your subconscious when you least expect it”.
Coinciding with the launch of ‘Magnetise’, Essie sold out her headline show at The Gasometer Hotel (Upstairs), Melbourne and performed to a capacity crowd at indie club night Rare Finds 3rd Birthdayevent at Oxford Art Factory, Sydney.
In the coming months, Essie will continue to traverse the East Coast with an appearance at The Squeeze Festival, and as the main support for GLADES, Muki and Teischa on their respective upcoming tours.
